About
Maxim Wakultschik is a Belarus-born artist living and working in Düsseldorf. His work is defined by mathematical precision, layered structures and a refined dialogue between light, shadow, colour and movement.
By combining painting with sculptural and object-based techniques, Wakultschik creates artworks that change according to the viewer’s position. What first appears as a single image gradually reveals itself as a complex construction of depth, rhythm and optical vibration.
His practice invites the viewer to slow down, look closer and experience the artwork from different perspectives. In this sense, his work is not only visual, but spatial and almost cinematic: a continuous play between perception, material and light.
