A summer presentation of light, matter and renewal
Solstice opens the summer season at MPC Gallery with a fresh presentation of new works, new artists and renewed energy.
The exhibition introduces
- Alessandro Montalbano (IT)
and
- Maxim Wakultschik (BY/DE)
to the gallery programme.
Montalbano’s sculptural practice transforms hard materials into organic, almost living forms, while Wakultschik’s precise, layered works explore light, shadow, structure and shifting perception.
Around this dialogue between the organic and the precise, MPC Gallery presents new and recent works by Joz Decruy, (BE) Trinyx (UK), Annemie Van Herck (BE), Gerard Godal (BE), Etiyé Dimma Poulsen (ET) and
Mulugeta Tafesse (ET).
Together, the works create a summer constellation of steel, light, recycled matter, pigment, memory and renewal.
The opening may include a small selection of Ethiopian bites, adding a warm cultural layer to the exhibition.

Art, waste and the beauty of return
Second Nature explores how discarded materials can return as image, object and meaning.
The exhibition brings together artists working with recycled, found and transformed matter, including Martin Heinisch, Joz Decruy, Annemie Van Herck, Trinyx and possibly additional artists.
With ocean plastic, recognizable waste, found objects and reconstructed fragments, the artists question our culture of consumption while revealing the unexpected beauty of what is usually thrown away.
Second Nature is a reflection on what we discard, what we choose to see, and what can still be transformed.

New artists, fresh perspectives and the quiet energy of renewal
Spring Encounters introduces three new Belgian artists to the MPC Gallery programme:
David De Busseré (BE)
Dirk Van Spitaels (BE)
Annemie Van Herck (BE)
The exhibition brings together colour, nature, structure and intuition. De Busseré’s vibrant works are inspired by birds, butterflies and the luminous energy of the natural world. Van Spitaels works with charcoal, precision and patience, exploring the fragile boundary between recognition and disappearance. Van Herck adds a tactile and colourful dimension through abstract paper-based works.
Together, their practices create a fresh spring dialogue: three different artistic voices, connected by sensitivity, material presence and a renewed way of looking.

Fatma Houssana, a Palestinian photojournalist whose work documented civilian life during the Gaza war. She gained international recognition for her visceral documentation of war impacts and became the subject of the documentary film ‘Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk’

As part of the Grand Show in Knokke, MPC Gallery proudly presents Fragments of Floating Truth, a powerful eco-sculpture by French artist Martin Heinisch. Exhibited alongside Lamborghini, this work invites a unique dialogue between high performance and high purpose.
Crafted entirely from marine waste, Nemo reflects Heinisch's ongoing mission: to transform salvaged materials from the ocean floor into objects of reflection and beauty.
This confrontation between a luxury icon and a recycled sea creature reminds us:
What we discard floats back — as truth.
